Kyoto Sangyo University International Exchange Circle “Friends”
Members of Friends include Japanese and international students, as well as international students studying at Japanese language schools. The group holds events once to twice a month, as well as weekly lunch meetings every Tuesday.

Ritsumeikan University Tutors for International Students Assembly (TISA)
Based out of the International Center on Ritsumeikan University’s Kinugasa Campus, TISA is a student association that promotes interaction between international students and Japanese students, and seeks most of all to help international students enjoy their time in Japan. The assembly holds events throughout the year, as well as regular discussion sessions for international students.

Ryukoku University Overseas Exchange Community (OEC)
OEC is Ryukoku University’s international exchange circle. The circle hosts events and outings, like trips to the Kyoto Zoo, or a camping trip with games and activities for Japanese and international students to get to know each other better.

Clubs are a great way to get to know other students on study abroad, but if you’re not particularly excited about a sport or other hobby, international exchange circles are a great way to get involved with the local student community, make friends, and learn a bit about your surroundings in Japan!
