☆地域交流イベント／Networking event in Kyotamba☆

みなさんこんにちは！
11月27日に 留学生スタディ京都ネットワーク（STUDY KYOTO: https://www.studykyoto.jp/ja/）が主催する「地域交流イベント」に行ってきました！
今回のイベントは、京丹波町（きょうたんばちょう）竹野（たけの）の方々、森の京都の方々にご協力いただき、地域の方々とディスカッションをしたり、農作業体験をしたり、様々な体験をさせていただきました。

最初に 丹波（たんば）黒大豆（くろだいず）の説明を聞きながら、畑で葉を取る体験をさせていただきました。
通常、黒大豆はビニールハウスなどを使用し乾燥させるものですが、「丹波黒豆」は、日光、風など自然環境のまま乾燥させるそうです。この乾燥させる過程で豆が破れてしまうと、売ることができないそうです。
葉取り作業がとても上手な留学生の方がたくさんいらっしゃいました！今度ぜひまたお手伝いに行きましょう！
畑作業中に 可愛い子鹿に会うことができました。しかし、鹿は豆を食べてしまうそうです。
私達にとっては可愛い子鹿でしたが、竹野の方々にとっては天敵なんだと驚きました。
農作業体験の後、若竹センターという場所で、豆の試食と、ディスカッションを行いました。
いつも食べている枝豆とは違い、一粒がとても大きく、香りも良く とても美味しかったです♪またおいしい枝豆を頂きたいと思いました^ ^
ディスカッションでは、4つのグループに分かれて、それぞれの課題に対して地域の方と話し合いました。（テーマ課題：高齢化、移住・定住、農業、六次産業）
私が参加したグループのテーマは、「高齢化」に伴うカーシェアリングについての提案でした。今回お世話になった竹野地域は、電車もバスも少なく、出かける際には車が必須です。しかし、高齢となり、免許返納後や運転が難しくなった場合の交通手段はどうするのかというテーマで話し合いました。留学生の出身地との違いや、留学生、大学生からの目線で解決策を提案しました。
ディスカッション後には、話し合ったことを全体で共有しました。
どのグループも留学生目線の面白い提案があって興味深かったです！
普段地域の方とお話しする機会は中々ないと思いますが、またイベントを開催する際には是非参加してください^ ^

On November 27th, I joined a community exchange event by Study Kyoto!
This time, we visited Tamba-cho to have discussions with the local people and experience of various farming activities with the cooperation of the people of Takeno and Mori no Kyoto.

First, we listened to an explanation of Tamba black soybeans, and then we had a chance to pick leaves in the field.
Normally, black soybeans are dried in a plastic greenhouse, but ’’Tamba black soybeans’’ are dried in a natural environment with sunlight and wind. If the beans are broken during the drying process, they cannot be sold.
There were many international students who were very good at picking soybeans leaves! Let’s try it next season again!
While working in the fields, we met a cute little deer. However, we heard that the deer eats the soybeans.
I was surprised to know that the cute deer were natural enemies for soybeans in Takeno.
After the farming experience, we went to a place called the Wakatake Center for soybeans tasting and discussion time.
Unlike the soybean edamame we usually eat, Takeno ones were very large, and very tasty. I want to eat the delicious edamame again ^^.
In the discussion, we were divided into four groups and discussed each issue with the local people. (Topic issues: aging, migration / settlement, agriculture, sixth industry)
The theme of the group I participated in was aging, and discussed about car sharing. There are few trains and buses in the Takeno area, so a car is needed every time when they go out. However, when people get older, they have to give up their driver’s license, or find it difficult to drive. We proposed some solutions with international students as university students. We also shared the differences between us and international students’ hometowns.
After the discussion, we shared what we had discussed with the other groups.
It was interesting to see that every group had interesting suggestions from the international students!
We don’t often have a chance to talk with local people, but please join those kind of event when you find^ ^ Thank you.
