On 14th of May, there was a Ikebana(Japanese flower arrangement) session at Ikenobo Kaikan at Karasuma Rokkaku.
After students visited Hanaichi, where is an origin of Ikebana, they had a lecture of Ikebana by a lecturer from Ikenobo, Kyoto department.
By experiencing Ikebana, students had learned the importance of “間MA(Space)” and Japanese spirit of hospitality, omotenashi no kokoro.
After the session, there was interactive discussion and student exchanged their thought.
