There was our 1st seminar for job-hunting on 22nd January. In this seminar, a career counselor who used to work at career center at Rhitsumeikan University had talked about general information about job-hunting in Japan, such as how to start job hunting, the process of job-hunting and the important points about taking interviews…etc.
The international students who participated in this seminar were able to learn the importance of “Rules as Shakai-jin (Business person) in Japan” such as, being punctual and greeting other people. Moreover, they also heard about SPI test (an examination for Job-hunting) and also general requirement of Japanese level. It seemed that the participants had realized the significance of Japanese after the session.
We hope that this seminar can be one of the opportunities which make the international students motivated in finding employments in Japan, and also studying Japanese harder.
