Hello, all! This is Ruiko from KTA! It’s been so hot recently and I hope you haven’t suffered from this summer heat!
We just hold the event “Company Visit” on 7th August and 21 international students participated.
Students who choose “A-Course” visited the company, “To-an”, which makes and sells Kiyomizu Pottery.
Students who choose “B-Course” visited the company “Maruyoshi”, which makes and sells very lovely wooden furniture by the use of the old wood material around the world.
Due to the typhoon approaching in the afternoon, we had to cancel the visit to the company “X effect”.
However, it was such a great experience to visit their work place and interact with people from these companies.
I felt that everyone seemed to have a productive moment.
I assume that there are many differences in the sense of “work” or “company” from your country and Japan but you may find new aspects of Japanese companies by actually visiting and talk with people from there. We believe that this kind of activities will give you much more discoveries about companies than just searching on Google or a regular company information session(会社説明会). In KTA, we will organize many events under this belief so let’s join us and find more about Kyoto companies together!
