Kyoto City University of Arts, located in the Kyoto City as renown for its rich cultural tradition and innovation, provides students an ideal environment to study the arts. With a history of 150 years (founded in 1880), KCUA is the oldest art university in Japan and has produced many artists who have been very active national and international art scenes. Our university is not only a artistic community where art students, artists and researchers working together and inspiring each other but also the springboard of contemporary arts and culture of Japan.
