What is attractive about studying in Kyoto?
I was a Japanese language department student, so it was a pretty natural step for me to come study in Japan.
I chose Kyoto University because there is a teacher here doing research that I wanted to learn about.
How has your impression of Kyoto changed since coming here?
I think the thing Chinese students worry about most is the delicate relationship between Japan and China.
But once they come to Kyoto, they find it’s very peaceful, be it how safe the city is, or the way everyday Japanese people interact with us.
I want to say that they can feel safe coming to study in Japan.
Message to students in your home country thinking about studying abroad.
Studying abroad is not just about studying; it’s also about how much you can grow as a person.
I think Kyoto is an ideal place for studying abroad.
It doesn’t just provide an opportunity to study, but is also a fun place to live. Of course there is Kyoto’s traditional culture, but you can also experience its contemporary facets.
The city has it all: the beautiful scenery, the culture, and the lifestyle.
Please come to Kyoto.
