In 2019, Kyoto Women's Educational Institution celebrated its 120th year. Kyoto Women's University is situated on the hillside of Mt. Amidagamine on the southern edge of the 36 mountains of Higashiyama, close to many famous historical spots with old temples such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Myoho-in Temple, Chishaku-in Temple, and Sanjusangen-do Hall. The wealth of nature and history and convenient access to public transportation in the center of Kyoto makes for an exquisite environment in which to study.
